Today I would like to tell you about a concert I really enjoyed. It was not the last one but certainly one I was really looking forward to being part of. 

 I got to know “Arcade Fire”, an indie rock band,  in Lollapalooza 2014. I had never heard of them before and they started playing and it was "love at first song". I was hoping to see them again and when I heard they were coming back to Chile I thought “I’ve got to go”. I bought tickets to go with a 3 friends and my husband. We had a great time.

What I like about them is the fact that they are a large piece band. They are not virtuosos but they play several unusual instruments and their lyrics make a lot of sense to me. They can be very political and I feel it is important for artists who can be heard by a lot of people, to talk about justice, stupidity, beauty, romance and also stuff that needs to be changed.

On the day they came in December 2017, my friends and I met earlier and we had a few beers, then we headed to Movistar Arena, Santiago and enjoyed a great concert. The only thing is there were too many people. We got floor standing tickets and we were all squashed together so you could hardy move there.

A place, city, town

Hello Everyone:
Today I'd like to tell you about a place I have enjoyed. The truth is, I have been blessed enough to visit quite a few places. However, there are still many places I'd like to visit in and outside Chile.

I think Chile is an amazing country with a great variety of landscapes and customs. I have fallen in love with several places in our country but today I will refer to one I have become fond of in my adult life. This place is “Elqui Valley” in the fourth region. As this is a valley, once you leave Vicuña, there are a number of little towns you can visit. As you drive along you see amazing skies and also really interesting vegetation. The last time I was there was last summer with my husband and my brother and sister in law. We had a great time. We swam in a swimming pool, played guitar and sang, we walked around a lot, tried local products and drank quite a few pisco sours. I like this place because,  even though it is quite touristic, it still has a quiet feel to it. This helps you relax.
