Today I would like to tell you about a
concert I really enjoyed. It was not the last one but certainly one I was
really looking forward to being part of.
I got to know “Arcade Fire”, an indie rock band, in Lollapalooza
2014. I had never heard of them before and they started playing and it was "love at
first song". I was hoping to see them again and when I heard they were coming
back to Chile I thought “I’ve got to go”. I bought tickets to go with a 3
friends and my husband. We had a great time.
What I like about them is the fact that
they are a large piece band. They are not virtuosos but they play several
unusual instruments and their lyrics make a lot of sense to me. They can be
very political and I feel it is important for artists who can be heard by a lot
of people, to talk about justice, stupidity, beauty, romance and also stuff
that needs to be changed.
On the day they came in December 2017, my
friends and I met earlier and we had a few beers, then we headed to Movistar Arena, Santiago and enjoyed a great concert. The only thing is there were too many
people. We got floor standing tickets and we were all squashed together so you could hardy move there.
